I'm currently full-time as a backend & GenAI engineer, and that's my primary focus. This page is for the occasional independent conversation outside of work hours, on things unrelated to my employer's business.

Scope

Any advisory work here is independent of my full-time employer, happens on my own time, and never involves their clients, name, or confidential work. If that's not the fit you need, my full-time role is genuinely where my energy goes — feel free to reach out about that instead.

Production backend architecture & cloud cost/perf optimization

Backend systems and cloud infrastructure built to run cheaply, scale predictably, and recover from incidents fast.

  • Cut cloud iteration cycles in half and saved roughly $9,000/year by re-architecting a debugging workflow for serverless infrastructure.
  • Took manual provisioning down roughly 75% with a CI/CD pipeline auto-deploying 124+ serverless functions.
  • Built a pip-installable backend project scaffolder (FastAPI/Flask/Django, with mypy, pytest, flake8 baked in) that turns new-project setup from hours into under two minutes.
